Fondul de investiţii Early Game Ventures (EGV) şi start-up-ul Orbital Matter, fondat de Jakub Stojek şi românul Robert Ihnatişin, au purtat discuţii timp de mai multe luni înainte ca planurile celor două părţi să se alinieze pentru o rundă de finanţare. Iar recent, start-up-ul a obţinut o investiţie de 1 milion de euro de la EGV, capital care va fi folosit pentru testarea în orbită a primei sale imprimante 3D şi pregătirea produsului pentru lansarea comercială. „Am ţinut legătura cu EGV timp de câteva luni înainte să fim pregătiţi pentru strângerea de fonduri, dar încă de la prima întâlnire a fost clar că înţeleg faptul că construcţiile în spaţiu vor sta la baza viitoarei economii spaţiale.
