Cherry Ventures, Balderton Capital, UVC Partners und Co. investieren 130 Millionen Euro in das junge Unternehmen. “Dies ist die größte private Investitionsrunde im Bereich der Fusionsenergie in Europa”, teilt die Jungfirma stolz mit. Das Startup aus München, 2023 von Francesco Sciortino, Lucio Milanese, Jorrit Lion, Martin Kubie und Jonathan Schilling gegründet, entwickelt Fusionskraftwerke auf der Grundlage des Stellarator-Konzepts. In den vergangenen Jahren flossen nun bereits “mehr als 185 Millionen Euro an öffentlichen und privaten Mitteln”. Auch Wettbewerber Marvel Fusion kommt bei diesen Zahlen derzeit nicht mehr mit. Insgesamt sammelte das Marvel-Fusion-Team bisher 170 Millionen Venture Capital in Marvel Fusion. Das DeepTech-Unternehmen aus München, 2019 von Moritz von der Linden, Karl-Georg Schlesinger, Georg Korn und Pasha Shabalin gegründet, “arbeitet an einer neuartigen Fusionstechnologie, welche die Kommerzialisierung von Fusion als Energiequelle erheblich beschleunigen könnte”. Zwei extrem hohe Wetten, dabei sind “die Hürden für die Nutzung der Kernfusion nach wie vor extrem hoch” – siehe auch Handelsblatt . Die 2015 gegründete Potsdamer Buchhaltungsfirma SMACC, aus der 2018 das Unternehmen Hypatos (“AI Agents for the autonomous back office”) hervorging, ist insolvent. Zur Insolvenzverwalterin des Unternehmens, das seit etlichen Jahren komplett losgelöst von Hypatos agiert, wird Rechtsanwältin Friederike Engelmann-Matz bestellt. SMACC, einst von Ulrich Erxleben, Stefan Korsch und Janosch Novak gegründet, wurde zuletzt nur noch vom Firmengründer Novak geführt, der auch als Managing Partner der “familiengeführten Beteiligungsgesellschaft” Do Capital Partners wirkt. Zudem ist das Berliner Health-Startup Clare&me, 2021 gegründet, insolvent. Zum vorläufigen Insolvenzverwalter wird Rechtsanwalt Thomas Kühn bestellt. Der Münchner E-Health-Investor YZR Capital, Kodori Ventures, Material Ventures, Antler und mehrere Business Angels investierten zuletzt rund 3,7 Millionen Euro in Clare&me. Zuvor floss rund 1  Million Euro in das Unternehmen. Clare&me setzt auf das Thema mentale Gesundheit. “Mit sprachbasierter Künstlicher Intelligenz entwickelt clare&me einen innovativen Ansatz für virtuelle Selbsthilfe”, heißt es zum Konzept.
