The Growth Collective bereikt meer dan 80% van Belgische start-upmarkt 19 augustus 2025 Gert Gijbels (NOA), Lode Uytterschaut (Start it @KBC), Sven De Cleyn (imec.istart) Een jaar na de oprichting heeft The Growth Collective, het samenwerkingsverband van Start it @KBC, imec.istart en NOA, zich stevig verankerd in het Belgische start-uplandschap. Sinds de lancering in 2024 meldden zich honderden start-ups aan, waarvan er 163 deelnamen aan gespecialiseerde programma’s. Het consortium, met steun van VLAIO, wil een centraal aanspreekpunt bieden voor jonge groeibedrijven die zoeken naar coaching, netwerk en kapitaal. De drie grootste Belgische acceleratoren besloten vorig jaar hun krachten te bundelen, zonder daarbij hun eigen kernprogramma’s te laten samensmelten. Onder de gezamenlijke merknaam creëren ze een duidelijker kader en meer zichtbaarheid. Naast initiatieven zoals Fund Me, Going Global, Sales Sprint en Thrive (gericht op vrouwelijk leiderschap) organiseerde het collectief ook de Scale-up marathon en een Co-founder matchmaking event, samen goed voor meer dan vijfhonderd aanmeldingen. Volgens Lode Uytterschaut, oprichter van Start it @KBC en initiatiefnemer achter The Growth Collective, ligt de meerwaarde in de schaal en de complementariteit: “Met imec.istart, NOA en Start it @KBC, de drie partijen achter The Growth Collective, begeleidden we over de jaren al een paar duizend start-ups. Samen coveren we zo meer dan tachtig procent van de markt in België.” Die schaal vertaalt zich ook in bereik en slagkracht. “Als de drie grootste acceleratoren van het land beschikken we over het grootste aantal voordelen: van het breedste aanbod tot het grootste en volledigste netwerk en de meest uitgebreide fundingmogelijkheden. Dus of je nu op zoek bent naar coaching of mentoring, kapitaal of een netwerk, in België of daarbuiten… bij ons ben je altijd aan het goede adres”, aldus Lode. Voor de drie betrokken CEO’s – Sven De Cleyn (imec.istart), Gert Gijbels (NOA) en Lode Uytterschaut – is de missie helder: “Met The Growth Collective helpen we start-ups om het kaf van het koren te scheiden. Er zijn veel organisaties die ondersteuning aanbieden, maar bij ons ben je verzekerd van programma’s en mentoren van hoge kwaliteit.” Met de structurele steun van VLAIO wil The Growth Collective de komende jaren bijdragen aan de ambitie om Vlaanderen verder te ontwikkelen tot een topcentrum voor innovatie en ondernemerschap.
